Does the camera include storage, and do I need a subscription?

The camera has a microSD card slot for local recording, and the card is sold separately. With a card installed you can record and play back events locally with no subscription required. Either way, recordings are encrypted.

Does this camera need a base station or hub?

No. This camera connects directly to your home Wi-Fi and works on its own. It cannot be added to an Base kit.

What Wi-Fi does it need?

The camera works on 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only. Most routers broadcast both 2.4GHz and 5GHz, so in most homes no change is needed. If your router is set to 5GHz only, you will need to enable the 2.4GHz band before setup.

Does the camera record 24/7?

No. The camera uses event-based recording rather than 24/7 continuous recording. It records when activity is detected, which reduces inactive footage and makes important events easier to find and review.

Can I connect this camera to a third-party NVR or security camera system?

No. The camera is designed to work with the app. It does not support third-party NVRs, RTSP, ONVIF, or third-party IP camera servers.
